Mike , his partner and son morred up after we'd been in occupation of the canal wharf for some months , word having spread around the 'boaties' The boat was whole when they arrived , but not for long ..whilst the others lived in a bender Mike set to with a crowbar ..it didin't look much better when they left us !

Seen 6.1.90 Gopsall Canal Wharf . Leics . This disused wharf was next to a branch of canal that ended 2 miles further along due to open cast mines .. so we soon saw this couple repass , wave , but not stopping !!

Syd bought this rom Steawrt , who later became the owner of his 2nd boat Artis .. This one ended up being sold to a yard owner after hull repairs became impossible to complete ..Photo = Syd
